Jeff established an innovation laboratory called Innovatrium (Innovate + Atrium) in 2009 to build a community of innovation practitioners. Business leaders, faculty members, and students collaborate to launch innovative projects. It is especially designed to develop innovation experts who can make innovation happen, everywhere, everyday in their workplaces through an apprenticeship-like methodology and philosophy.
Through the SODOTO ("see one, do one, teach one") principle, Jeff's programs in Innovatrium focus on growth through the development of innovation practices and leaders (Creativizers), quickly generating results. Innovation leaders can mentor more novice innovators while working on a real project with high potential to develop new practices and competencies.
In just one year, the Innovatrium has already orchestrated more than 40 team innovation events to help businesses grow and create new jobs. These events include a drug discovery for a major Pharmaceutical company, transforming a Tier 1 company to an OEM, and working with a Clean technology firm, to name a few.
Innovatrium is sponsored by Haworth, a space design firm, and ISCG, a local Haworth dealer.
